Just removed from a local basement, in the house where it has been since it was new, and probably hasn't been used since the 1950s-60s. The bike was stored against a basement wall that was moist, so the side that was near the wall has more rust spots and wear than the side that was facing away from the wall, especially the one side of the tank. The brake is marked "New Departure". The chain link pattern tires are shot. All of the chrome parts have surface rust.
Overall, this will need a deep cleaning. We wiped it off, but there is still some caked-on dirt and grime on the surface. The luggage rack under the basket is a little bent. There is an extra pedal in the basket. There is an old Winchester battery paper stuck between the tank and frame, which is probably for the horn inside the tank. We assume this does not work presently, and same with the headlight. We do not see any significant damage to the frame, but if you think we missed something, please let us know. Please note: This will be listed as a complete bike for a short time as a pick-up only. We may eventually decide to take it apart and sell it for parts, but ideally we would like to see this stay complete.
