1948 SCHWINN ADMIRAL DX MENS BEACH CRUISER BICYCLE HOT RAT ROD HORNET B6 VINTAGE. Here is an original VINTAGE I believe Oct 15th 1948. The serial number is E108030 and is stamped on the bottom of the cranks housing men's/boys Schwinn ADMIRAL "DX" balloon tire bicycle with 26 wheels. It is in the original and very appealing red and white 2-tone colored factory paint. I love original paint bikes!

If you like unique unrestored original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! This bike has a cool mens cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, brass Schwinn Admiral head badge, original whizzer "feather" style chainguard, cool cruiser style seat, (no padding) wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn hand grips, full fenders, (have dents) skiptooth sweetheart sprockets, and more! If you added a tank, this bike would be over the top cool! A super cool bike to ride or display!

The tires are 26x2.125. They are vintage tires and do hold air. The rear is a Good Year.

The front is a Wards Riverside. The bike has factory painted and pinstriped (appear to be non Schwinn) rims front and rear with a New Departure rear hub. The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes.

(pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike) DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 31. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28 1/2. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2.

The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22. The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably.

The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it. This one has been in VERY long term storage and cannot wait to be enjoyed once again! LOVE the fact that this one still has its original paint. The paint looks ok for a 70+ year old bike! (has chips scratches etc but has survived better than many) The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality.

Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to). There is a skiptooth chain included that has stiff links.

(its a free bonus) Bike does not have a kickstand but the mount is in place. This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach.

Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by.
