1940s SCHWINN PACKARD RAT ROD CRUISER BIKE VINTAGE B6 PANTHER HORNET BARN FIND! Here is an original VINTAGE 1940s I believe. The serial number appears to be I181707? It is stamped on the bottom of the cranks housing men's Schwinn PACKARD beach cruiser bicycle with 26 wheels.

It is in its cool original red/maroon and cream 2-tone paint. If you like cool original bikes, with cool vintage CAR names, this may be a great bike for you. I LOVE these, they are tough to find! With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!

This bike has a cool mens straightbar (Panther Hornet) style cruiser style frame, truss rod forks, super cool PACKARD Brass head badge, sweatheart sprocket, cool cruiser style seat, "AS" (Arnold Schwinn) seat post clamp, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn script hand grips, cool pedals, skiptooth chain and sprockets, 9 hole rear carrier rack, full fenders, (have dents) and more! This one appears to have came from the factory with a front headlight. (Probably a Delta Rocket Ray) Im guessing it may have had a tank as well! This bike is a cool REAL DEAL Wisconsin "Barn find" It is LOADED with patina! This one has not seen the light of day in decades and has not been owned by collectors.

This one has the look that everyone wants! Bikes like this are few and far between these days! The tires are 26x2.125.

They are old vintage added Schwinn TYPHOON CORD tires and do hold air. The bike has factory painted and pinstriped Schwinn Tubular S-2 rims front and rear with a New Departure rear hub.

The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike) DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 30 1/2. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28 1/4. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 3/4. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22.

The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS I got this one basically just like you see it. EVERY aspect of the bike should be gone over.

It is loaded with patina. The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to).

Front wheel is missing a spoke. Chain needs to be soaked and lubricated.

Bike could use a chainguard. They are easy to find and not expensive. This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach.

Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike!
