Here is an original HORN TANK which was removed from a 1953 Schwinn Deluxe Hornet mens balloon tire bike beach cruiser bicycle! The bike itself was made approx JUNE 15TH 1953. (The serial number is K33706 and is stamped on the left hand rear dropout).

This one is in its original maroon and cream factory paint! This one includes the tank, horn inside, as well as the mounting hardware shown! I installed 2 batteries and it did nothing.

I put no further effort into it than that. Put it on your bike and make it look GREAT!

Otherwise would be a great display item. If you EVER think you could use this, do not miss out! These do not come along often!

Every time I find a bike like this, the TANK always seems to be missing. This can make a good bike into a GREAT bike!

ESPECIALLY if you have an original bike with maroon and cream paint! I got this as a complete bicycle.

I rode this bike a number of miles last summer and it performed great! You could install this on a Panther but technically the Panther had chrome on its tank. A great item at a great price! I took LOTS of pics inside and out. They get very large to show detail. It is not new or nos but is not bad for its age either! A good detail job could make this one look much nicer!

Please note, The paint is original but has chips scratches etc. (most bikes of this era have been repainted, rusted out, and even thrown away years ago) It does have the typical "fork knock" from the truss rods if you look closely.

I believe the Schwinn side decals were added. What you see is what you get in exact condition shown. They are all available right now! I try my very best to describe as accurately as possible.
