Vintage 1988 Schwinn Ontare Road Bike Frame Set in'Red Sunset' (red orange and yellow). This is a quite rare model only offered for one year, Schwinn's effort to compete with Cannondale. Built with TIG welded Paramount Design Group butted aluminum tubing. Comes with original Tange Falcon headset and original Suntour internal expanding quill seatpost. Has a few light scratches and paint nicks as shown, very nice condition, no dents. The paint looks a bit dull to me could probably use a polish. Notice there is some poorly done touch-up by the previous owner on the drive side chainstay (see last pic) not real noticeable unless you are close. Weight on my scale as pictured with fork, headset, and seatpost is 3140 grams. Seat tube center to center: 53cm. Top tube, center to center: 54cm. Here is some ad copy from the 1988 Schwinn Catalog.
