Willing to consider all reasonable offers. For those of you looking for a good solid bike to restore yourself, well, I'll be listing a large amount of my project CRUISER bikes I've saved. Great original early tank & balloon bikes of all kinds/sizes. A lot could be easily fixed to ride, some do ride fine, some destined as cool garden art, some for parts and some to ride rat style. I cannot guarantee all the parts will come apart easily or at all, along with bolts shearing from years of storage. Talk About a Rare Bike and Rare Opportunity to Own One. Hardly Ever Seen Much Less AlmostComplete Original. Mens 26 Vintage SHELBY PIRATE Balloon Tire Cruiser For Restore or Project. Rare Aged Vintage Fading-Patina-Can't just make that happen, only over decades of storage will it produce such neat bare boned antique patina that's hard to replicate.

(Original appears to have been red & black). E: 18 From Center Crank to Top Seat Post. Rare and just about complete Shelby Pirate balloon tire Tank Bike. Has been stored for decades and would be a great restore project, parts or ride it as is, with a great aged patina look after a little work. Solid straight Frame with long tank straightbar design & triangle rear dropout seat stays.

No cracks/bends or issues noted with the frame. Excellent Pirate Badge & dual headlight system that should work when installed with generator, though the chrome is flaking.

Original and nice and straight Chainguard, there is some wording almost visible but I can't make it out. Nice original rear rack & neat aged patina brass antique bike horn. Is surface rusty with flaked paint, however is still solid and would be a great restore bike with not a lot of body work.

As the wide fenders are solid and straight with smooth surface. They are missing the original lights, however there is a cool dual Royce Union Deluxe double headlight system from the era, also rear has a vintage round gem reflector in great shape. There Is Some Faint Visible Lettering on the center strip of the chainguard. Hard to see it but if you use a flashlight with the right shade, letters are visible.

Also, if you look at the tip of the front fender, you can see the original paint design, though it faded. All chrome is flaked and/or surface rusting. Rims are pretty rough but solid for the most part with what I can tell, perhaps the beginning of some light corrosion but may and should be able to restore. Tires are original and shot. Rear has a New Departure Model D Hub.

Both wheels roll ok and not stuck. Chrome crankset is original and includes a neat original skip tooth sprocket. The chrome on the unit is flaking and does include what appears to be Arnold Schwinn pedals in good shape for the age, has AS on the caps and design just like Schwinn.. The chain is good yet and tight from years of storage. Appears the crank will turn once chain is loosened which will probably be verified during packing. Great original side beehive springer saddle pan ready to be recovered. Not sure but the handlebars look original and we're just like they are when I acquired it. Front truss Rod system is solid with surface rust. Overall here's a chance to restore a rare classic with one of the coolest named models of bikes in my opinion.

Great start with so many possibilities. Pictures tell all, if not, please ask. As with all vintage rides, they are not new bikes that ride as if off the showcase floor.
