Vintage Schwinn BF Goodrich Balloon Tire Bicycle Phantom Red And Black COOL LOOK

  
Up for sale is a Schwinn built BF Goodrich balloon tire bicycle. Bike is all original except for the tubes, tires, and brake stay. Bike is rideable although I dont recommend sitting on the old foam as Im sure it would tear right off.

Fenders have been rubbed on to get them a little shinier but they are quite rusty. Fork spring is rusty and seems weak. Bike could use a full tear down and rebuild. I have only wiped it down a bit and put tubes tires and the brake stay on so I could ride it and present it as a rider.

Other than the seat and relube this bike is ready to go. Serial number was used twice by Schwinn once in 1952 and again in 1957. Fender light is missing as is the rear reflector. No key for the fork lock. Bars and stem have been painted silver long ago. Fork trusses and wheels may or may not have also been painted.

Tires are Grand Tycoon brick tread white walls. Originals were whitewall BF Goodrich tires marked Silvertown.
