Vintage 1971 Schwinn Grey Ghost Stingray Krate 5-Speed Stik Shift Atom Original. A beautiful, original, Schwinn Grey Ghost that rolled off the factory line in February of 1971. This bike is in incredible condition and is the cream of the crop. The paint is original to the bike with very few flaws along with the paint on the chain guard that has the original silk screen. The cranks and handlebars date to 1970 and the stem dates to 1972. The springer fork is in incredible shape. The front tire mounted on an S-7 rim is an original Schwinn Superior that is made in the USA.

The rear tire is also original to the bike and is in good shape. The seat is original and has not been recovered. There are a few scuffs on the seat and some rust in the pan but overall, it is in fantastic shape for its age. Sissy bar is in very good shape, the shocks work very nicely, and has the original Q bolts.

S bolt seat post clamp is in good shape. Original Grey Ghost pedals with clear reflectors are in good shape. 5 speed stik shift is in terrific shape. Streamers and cable housing covers have been added for some extra flair and it looks great. Both the front and rear fenders are original to the bike with the correct Safety Edge.

There is some etching into the bottom bracket that is shown in the photos. This bike has received a full tune up and works as it should. This bike is in museum quality condition.
