Not a repop and the real deal. Rare first year May of 1968 Schwinn Sting-Ray Orange Krate boys bicycle in Kool Orange. 5 speed stick shift model. Bicycle is in clean and working condition and shifts through all of the gears but it could use a minor derailleur adjustment if you plan on riding it a bunch. It was repainted the correct factory Kool Orange color by the previous owner.

And he did use replacement stickers instead of silk screening. They can easily be redone the right way depending on how picky you are.

Chrome is overall original from what I can tell and does show some tarnishing. Seat was recovered with the correct one year 1968 colorway. Tires are original Schwinn approved units but it should have a "studded balloon" tire in the rear to be 100% correct for a 1968 model. And also the 1968 didn't use a small fender on the front as they did for 1969 and up. Overall condition is pictured as shown.

Not perfect and the price reflects that. But a great rider or future restoration for any Schwinn enthusiast or collector.
