Arnold Schwinn'Ace' 1940s vintage post war bicycle (restoration project) RARE

  

1940s Arnold Schwinn'Ace' vintage bicycle (restoration project) RARE!! Condition is "Used" rear rim was run over by a vehicle at some point (see pics -the rim and spokes will need straightened or replaced). The fender headlight is missing. All parts are original except the front basket -1960s? The front fender (bottom rear side will need reshaped -see pics).

The seat is missing the it's vinyl/leather covering + padding and the spring components are rusted but intact (see pics). Both original metal inner tube caps are included. The Arnold Schwinn ACE badge is in pretty good condition (see pics). The foot pedals seemed rusted in place but may be restorable.

The'sweet heart sprocket' and chain guard are both in good shape (see pics). The rear round reflector is good and intact (see pics). Original black and white paint is cracking or weathered from age but still has visible detailing (see pics). I was informed by some fellow Ebayers who know their stuff thanks!! The bike is very restorable...

I would like to see this rare and vintage bicycle go to someone with the same intention of giving the proper TLC it deserves. I attained this bike just West of Chillicothe, IL and really wanted to fix it up as I grew up restoring old Schwinn, Hawthorne, and various other cool vintage bikes. These bikes are truly built to last and would make a great addition to a vintage bike collection. Message me anytime if you have any questions.
