26 Chopper Cruiser 72 Spoke Dayton Wheel Set with NOS Sram 2 Speed Automatix Coaster Brake. This is a New Custom Built, Bad Azz, 26 inch 2 speed 72 Spoke Cruiser Chopper Wheel Set with a 2 speed Coaster Brake. The Rear 26 72 Spoke wheel is a custom lace to a New 2 Speed Sram Automatix rear Coaster Brake hub. Although This Hub was Popular, Sram Decided that It was not cost effective to make these in smaller numbers so these hubs were dropped from the Sram Line, Making this Unique Hub a New Old Stock.

It's Shame Corporate Savings was the Demise of this Cool Hub. This Sram Automatix hub gives you 2 speeds without a shifter, The Sram 2 Speed Automatix is a centrifugal automatic shifting hub. The The Hub shifts to a harder gear, to go faster, like a Bendix blue band over drive, this is a very popular design for those that are trying to get somewhere like commuters. Out of the Box the Sram 2 Speed Automatix shifts too soon, this hub has been modified and automatically shifts when your doing 13 to 14 mph. It's Pretty Fast, so more useful to a hard rider, also this mod prevents it from shifting going up which was an out of the box problem. The initial first gear is basic common cruiser gear, and should you need something different the sprocket / cog can be removed and switched out with other common 3 spline rear cogs / sprockets. The Sram Automatix is a Great way to add an extra gear to your ride with out cables. The hub was custom drilled for 72 spokes and may show some metal finish variation from modification.

The 2 Speed Hub has a width of 120mmm which is about 9mm wider that a Vintage Schwinn rear Drop out, so you will need to pull the dropouts out to install, I have not found this to be an issue, but it will be easier with a helper. The Front wheel is a Stock 26 72 Spoke wheel. The Rims are Chrome Steel and considered 26" x 1.75" and have a ISO or B ead S eat D iameter (BSD) 559mm denotes a most all common Cruiser, Chopper, MTB, 26" tires sizes 26"x 1.75" - 26"x 2.125" - 26"x 2.35" there may be more sizes thats just the ones we stock (but NOT the light weight 26" tires) Know your Tire Sizes.
