1962 SCHWINN RACER MENS 3-SPEED DELUXE BICYCLE VINTAGE RED TRAVELER SPEEDSTER S5. Here is an original 1962 VINTAGE I believe made March 1st 1962. The serial number is C212922 mens Schwinn RACER 3-speed road cruiser bicycle with 26 wheels. It is in the original and very appealing Flamboyant RED colored factory paint.

If you like UNIQUE original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! This bike has a cool mens cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, (I like the Schwinn "magic hat" seat tube decal) original screen chainguard, Schwinn cruiser style seat, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn hand grips, full fenders, cool Schwinn Approved script brake calipers, Schwinn pedals, and more! This one has factory chrome kickstand, fender braces, and seat post clamp. These are nice factory details only found on the more deluxe bicycles of the era. I believe this bike to be mostly all original parts from when it was new!

(see pics and be your own judge). The tires are 26x1 3/8. They are vintage SCHWINN tires and do hold air.

The bike has chrome Schwinn S-5 rims front and rear. The bike is an original THREE SPEED and the gears do operate.

The hand controlled brakes are operable as well. (Has been in long term storage and will need adjustment or possible cable replacement).

DIMENSIONS The standover height is approx 30 1/2. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 31.

The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 21 1/2. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21 1/2. The bike will accomadate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust.

NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is not bad for its age! The paint looks ok for a 50+ year old bike!

(has many chips scratches etc) LOVE the fact that this one still wears its original paint and cool decals! The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them.

(most every used bike out there seems to) This one has been in long term storage and cannot wait to be enjoyed once again! This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc.

Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike! A great classic bike at a great price Why not ride a bike?
