1950 SCHWINN HORNET MENS STRAIGHT BAR RAT ROD BIKE VINTAGE PANTHER PHANTOM S2 50. Here is an original VINTAGE I believe JULY 27th 1950. The serial number is G220000? And is stamped on the bottom of the cranks housing. Men's SCHWINN HORNET STRAIGHTBAR beach cruiser bicycle with 26 wheels. This one comes exactly as shown and has lots of potential! With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!

This bike has a cool mens straight bar Hornet/Panther cruiser style frame and forks, BRASS Schwinn Pullman head badge, deluxe Phantom/Panther style chainguard, cruiser seat, no padding. Rough "AS" (Arnold Schwinn) seat post clamp, cool wide cruiser handlebars, slightly newer hand grips, vintage skiptooth chain with sweetheart sprocket, and more! I got this one basically just like you see it. Add up the value of the parts....

There is much more here than you think! This is a cool unrestored bike to display, restore, or maybe even ride! I hope you enjoy and appreciate this one! Stuff like this does not come along often! I hope it gets a great new home!

The tires are 26x2.125 balloon tires. They are vintage tires and do hold air. The bike has factory painted Schwinn S-2 tubular rims front and rear with a New Departure rear hub. This is a VERY unique bike!

I have not seen one of these in a while! The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes.

(pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike) DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 31. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28 1/2. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22.

The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust.

NOTED FLAWS I got this one exactly like you see it and love it! It would need a total resto for show or enjoy it in its current unrestored patina! The bike has obviously been repainted at some point. You never know what you find if you remove the green paint The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Overall, this is one of the coolest bikes you could ask for!

Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) Rear wheel is missing a spoke. The bike does not have fenders. (people in California love that) I truly hope you can appreciate this one for what it is. Add up the value of the individual parts!

I took lots of pics, I have nothing to hide. This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by.
