1930s MEAD CRUSADER PREWAR MOTORBIKE MENS BICYCLE SCHWINN VINTAGE B10E RANGER! Here is an original PREWAR VINTAGE men's 1930s MEAD PATHFINDER "motorbike" bicycle! I believe this is a Schwinn made bike made in Chicago USA! I believe this bike was made in the mid 1930s.

(see pics and be your own judge) What a find this one is! If you like unique and RARE antique bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!

This bike has a cool mens motorbike style frame, truss rod forks, cool Mead Crusader Chicago Cycle Supply headbadge, deluxe non skiptooth chain and sprocket with "dogleg" cranks, rear chain adjusters, full fenders, match but not original, not a perfect fit. Front has "flat" fender braces cruiser style seat, (has rips) wide cruiser handlebars, newer hand grips, and more! This bike has some awesome valuable parts. Great to ride, build, restore, or enjoy in its current unrestored patina! This one has a cool Miller looking kickstand but may have been born with a dropstand.

(see pics of rear dropouts). These bikes a very cool and are a super RARE find in ANY condition these days!

Have you ever heard of the World War 2 Scrap Drives? Basically the government collected up anything that was made of metal to help out with the war efforts. It gave communities a great sense of pride to donate ANY extra pots, pans, bicycles, motorcycles, cars, etc to help produce items for the war effort. If people had 2 pans and only realyl needed one, they would give up the extra. So, this era of motorbikes were almost 20 years old at the time.

They were simply considered used bicycles then so very few of them survived. These bikes are awesome and tough to find!

I hope you can appreciate this one for what it is! The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike).

This bike is "good bones" to make something great! The hard to find stuff is here.

What you see is what you get as shown! Add your parts and have this one built in no time! (you could always add modern wheel for now to make it a rider). This will blow peoples minds if you ride it at your local car show or cruise night! The tires are 26x2.125.

They are vintage tires and do hold air. The rear tire is a Schwinn. The front is a newer replacement tire. The bike has chrome rims front and rear with a New Departure rear hub.

(pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike) DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 30 1/2. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 27 1/2. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21 1/2. The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably.

The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS I got this one basically like you see it. It is a cool basis for something great! The paint looks ok for a 70+ year old bike! (has obvious chips scratches etc) You can see a repair on the lower frame by the cranks housing that was done long ago.

(not a huge deal, see pics) The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to).

This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike! A great classic bike at a great price Why not ride a bike? If you are looking for a fun bike to ride and enjoy this may be it! A nice bike to cruise the beach or your local park! Priced way less than a dime store bike that wont be around 5 years from now, much less 30+ years like this one! This may be a great Birthday or other special holiday gift for someone! It is never too soon to think ahead and get someone something they may really like!! These are getting to be hard to find in any condition and to my knowledge, have not been reproduced.
