Vintage 1915 Schwinn Built Hawthorne Motorbike Bicycle. This Stylish bike is a 1915 Wards Hawthorne Deluxe Motorbike that was made by Arnold Schwinn & Company.

There are a few years in the mid to late teens that Schwinn supplied bicycles to the Wards Department stores to be badged their house brand " Hawthorne ". Early Schwinns are not very common nor are Schwinn built Hawthornes thus making this bike quite a find. This Schwinn built Hawthorne has some original paint, Lux Low patina preserved and is adorned with nice original nickel plated parts. The wheels are New Lux Low custom built 28 wheels to make this bike road worthy.

They are made with Velocity Blunts rims that mimic wood rims. The Rims have a Lux low Patina paint treatment, with aged deep burgundy paint and gold pin striping with distressed aging to look like old original wood wheels. The wheels are laced with stainless steel double butted spokes to a front Barrel hub and a nice rear New Departure Model A Coasted Brake Hub. The Tires are 28" x 1.40" Schwalbe Century Raised Letter Cream wall Tires. The wheels add new tech with a retro look that will let you ride this baby for many miles effortlessly in comfort. The Drive is Skiptooth Chain and the Seat is a New High Quality Leather Gyes Saddle. The Drop Stand is a New reproduction. This Baby is Built to Ride and Preserving the Classic old look and Patina, To Give you a Stylish old Bike that Rides Effortlessly and will turn heads as you Roll By. She is completely rebuilt with riding in mind, you can put her on a pedestal or ride her for miles.
